whole meal flour scones?!
hi im looking for a really good recipe for wholemeal scones using cream of tar tar and bicarb instead of baking powder. please list below if you know the ratio of bicard to cream of tar tar

Baking powder IS bi-carb and cream of tartare in the correct ratios so save yourself the trouble. dont use all w/m flour though blend it 50/50 with white low ratio flour :-))

Hairy Bikers have a recipe on their website. Wholemeal probably needs twice the amount of risers normally used with white flour because it is very heavy. Good luck. God bless. Gladgran. January 2011
