Yes. They remove the hull and the germ from brown rice making it white after processing

White rice is basically the inside of brown rice. well not all brands. but basic white rice you get at the store, not basmati or arborrio or anything like that.

originally they seem to be pale brown .they have also their different class so generally found in nepal rice are light brown in color.
