Have to see the Chinese character to determine the meaning but as the other user said, it could be referring they are from Qingdao (in simplified Chinese), the major city in eastern Shandong province, China.

It's an area in China, usually transliterated as Qingdao, and pronounced something like "ching dow". That where the beer of the same name is brewed. So the restaurant is wither serving food from that area versus Mandarin or Szechuan, for example, of more likely it's an advertising sign for the beer. Their website says nothing about the cuisine type, but the sign doesn't seem to be in the same font as the beer.

If you're really interested, you could quickly find out by asking the people who definitely know: 520- 294-8739 or http://www.mei-hon.com/contactus.html

At a guess, it might refer to the geographic origin of the food, in Qingdao, Shadong province.

Or perhaps they like Tsing Tao beer?

Tsing Tao is the name of a popular brand of Chinese beer.

The name of the restaurant is "Mei hon" and they also offer Tsing Tao beer.

It means Chinese way.
