Just ordered a Chinese takeaway and I've had diarrhoea ever since, what can I do?!

Question: Just ordered a Chinese takeaway and I've had diarrhoea ever since, what can I do?
This evening I ordered a nice Chinese meal and it really was lovely. However, this night, it's currently 3 am, I have been having these really bad diarrhea attacks. Some of them I could successfully beat on the toilet, but unfortunately they sometimes also took me by surprise, i.e. while I was on couch, watching television; while I was in bed, trying to sleep, waking up my partner as I lost all anal control and outside, when I was having a friendly chat with my neighbour. As you can tell, some of these moments can be quite embarrassing.

My biggest concern is the fact that my hands are turning into this yellowish colour. I mean, I've had diarrhea before, but I've never had this before, should I be worried?

I've phoned the Chinese takeaway to ask if other customers also had health related problems after ordering food today, but they cut me off pretty quickly, saying: "We cannot help you sir, please do not call us again!".

What can I do now? The doctor is not in his office right now. Am I going to die?

Yes you're going to die but not from this and not right now. You can quit going back to that restaurant and/or dining out altogether. Make your take-outs from scratch at home;it's not hard to do. Since you've stated that you have had these episodes on several other occasions, it is probably not due to your dining experience. Your disorder is best diagnosed by your family physician.

Based on the timing of the onset of the illness and the description it sounds like food infection as opposed to food poisoning. This means an antibiotic is urgently needed. The yellow color to the hands is quite disturbing and may indicate the infection has spread to the liver and would be quite serious. Hopefully it is not hepatitis. Seek a medical professionals consul right away.

You are not going to die-Yet! but it sounds like food poising... my hubby has had diarreah from chinese take out before too, I don't know what it is... but we just didn't eat there again. Same for you buddy, but in the meantime take some meds... what settles my tummy many times is mineral water. Good luck.

Take some Kaopectate or Imodium. Rest and drink plenty of liquids.

You're not going to die.

If you don't feel better in a day or two, go to your doctor or an urgent care facility.
