Clearing tonic, this packet may has some dried herbs like barley, lotus seeds, polygonatum to make tonic soup which meant to nourish the spleen & especially the lung.

Will need to read the instruction so can tell you how to prepare it but should be as easy as adding lean meat and water to boil and should be able to make into cold dessert instead of just hot soup.

清 补 凉 (qing bu liang) is a very popular Cantonese medicinal soup base consumed by people from south east China. Chinese people like to eat foods that contribute to our bodies' strength, immunity and overall balance, this is called medicinal cuisine. One easy way to do so is to combine and package different herbs together so we can simply cook the whole thing as a soup or add to other ingredients.

清 补 凉 traditionally has barley, lotus seeds, dioscorea, lily bulb, fox nuts, longan, polygonatum in it and is used to make a soup, either savory or sweet. Most people boil it with lean pork or chicken with salt, or simply add rock sugar to it. You should start with medium high heat and after 15-20 minutes cook another 50-60 minutes on low, salt or sugar should be added at the very end. Supposedly it helps to keep our wellbeing balanced after we ate too much fried or hot spicy food.

This is a packet of herbs that you drink to detox your body after consuming a lot of fried foods. It is very common to Chinese people. It's pronounced "ching bo leung".

Isn't there any ingredients written in English or any other language than Chinese anywhere in the back side? If yes write down what's written, if no, then ask your friend.
