This is a simple supply and demand thing. If there are no demands, there won't be any supplies. :)

PS: If you've seen Chinese buffets in UK, then I bet you wouldn't think the sellers are crazy. The "foods" served there made foods from Panda Express look gourmet (seriously) and the lines there would make any Chinese buffet owners in the North America cry an ocean of happy tears! I really do felt bad for those diners who would spend over 8 British pounds for those.. err... "foods". LOL

They all have high metabolisms. It's been scientifically proven that all Asians have higher heart rates than African-Americans (except after running form the po-leese) and Caucasians (except from running from black people.) Asians are the hummingbirds of the human race and have to take in more calories or run the risk of dying from exhaustion. Hence, all the buffets you are noticing.

Also, don't be racist. They're not all Chinese... They're all Oriental.

If you go to big cities in the US, UK where there is large Chinese population, you seldom find any Chinese buffets. In fact I can't find one single buffet restaurant inside Chinatown at San Francisco, New York City. There aren't that many buffet restaurants all over China also. It's the non-Chinese people who are crazy about eating Chinese buffets.

You mean why are Americans crazy about buffets. Buffets in China originated in Canton, and they are not all you can eat, they are actually large dining halls where waiters push carts of different kinds of food, and patrons order at the table directly from the cart.

It's the Americans that are crazy about Buffets. It's the Chinese that realized it and opened more of them for us to eat at.

I have seen every other race at chinese buffets but never chinese people except for the employees.

its large quantities for relatively low prices
how can someone not like that?
