What kind of rice is this?!

It is called purple sticky rice aka black rice.

It's red rice, which is consumed a lot in Sri Lanka. They also make red rice yeast supplements and supposed to be very healthy for you. I have cooked it before and it's good.

It's black rice also called forbidden rice, it apparently makes a good rice pudding if you cook it with milk, coconut, sugar and green cardamom
