Dim sum. Chinese dumplings. there are hundreds of recipes. Try going to a chinese restaurant that specializes in dim sum, you will quickly change your opinion. But I have to say, many deep fried dishes have my complete attention. As someone who is from the south, the chinese have just as many deep fried recipes as we, maybe more. And they're awesome.
The most amazing dish for me was Japanese Tonkatsu (deep fried pork cutlet) from a little neighborhood restaurant near my wife`s house in Gifu, Japan. It was served on a bed of cabbage, with a bowl of steamed rice, a bowl of soup and a side dish of pickles. Absolutely delicious.
