Not knowing wether you want "Posh" or authentic Its harder but BKK is a treasure trove of superb freshly cooked delicacies from the ubiquitous Pad Thai from the many cook to order stands manned by the grinning happy street chefs to five star splendour at the Dusit thani!
When the businesses close the aprons at the front of the banks etc are rapidly turned into "Restaurants" my fave is at the end of Silom Rd (opposit end to lumphini) Under the sky train track at the front of the bank---- Seafood---WOW bbq hot and fresh 100 b will get you a plate of delights and an ice cold Singha.

Thai food industry is very competitive. There are specialists in their menu. We Thai people would travel around only to have a little taste of it. But the last visit in thailand,we wentt to MK. Sukiyaki franchisee. They are awesome.
If you know local pople, we would be your best resource for travelling around to restaurants. Locals know what is best around. I would say ThaiPorridge'ss the best in the morning Known as "Jok".
