The noodles are not made with meat.
They are often stir fried with meat though to make 'chicken lo mein' or something similar.
If you don't want meat, stir fry with veggies, or ask for plain noodles. Beansprouts go well.

Funny you should ask...I just ate vegeatble lo mein and I asked about meat ...the answer was no!
I had all kinds of delicious veggies, bok choy, garlic, onion and flat pea pods...plus there were veggies in it that I had no idea what they were...soy sauce I know but not much...
I cannot say if some restaraunts use meat, but what for? The vegetables are so flavorful...

No sites ...I just ate lo mein from a restaraunt and they do not use meat??

The noodles themselves aren't made with meat, but it is common to mix meat into the overall dish.
