Sugar can counteract the flavor of vinegar sometimes, but it might just make your sauce taste worse. I'd say if it's overpowering and you don't want to waste it, make more sauce without vinegar and combine them, then freeze the leftovers for later.



Depends on the intended effect. Vinegar adds a tart flavor, and also serves as a natural preservative, If you added too much vinegar, you can add some water to dilute and some corn starch to keep the sauce thick.



Less amount of sauce on a plate than usual if it works that way.

If not, make a new one.

If you cannot make a new one, eat the dish without a sauce.

If it is only slightly vinegary, add salt although it will destroy other flavors...

put some more of the other ingredients so it wont make ur sauce too sour.. but i like vinegar :D
