why do all Chinese buffets have yellow fried rice?!

Question: Why do all Chinese buffets have yellow fried rice?
Answers:

there are two reasons 1. because of dyes and coloring during the cooking also because it is cheaper for them then using plain jasmine or white rice.

The Chinese Mongolian BBQ all you can eat place I went this afternoon do not have yellow fried rice. They got brown ones. :)

Not all Chinese buffets got yellow fried rice. However, it sounds like that all Chinese buffets "you" went served yellow colored fried rice. I guess yellow colored fried rice is popular around your area. I think it's a local thing. :)

If you're asking why Chinese buffets HAVE yellow fried rice, it's like asking why do western buffets have white bread, it's just what they offer.

If you're asking why they have YELLOW fried rice, it's because it looks like it has a lot of taste versus the bland white rice and the color looks attractive. The color comes from stir frying it with eggs, chicken powder and soy sauce.

Because it is legitimate, authentic Asian fried rice, not the Americanized version with white rice.

Because the spice used makes the rice yellow.

For the Mexicans in the back.

not all. Cathay House doesn't.
