I like lemon meringue pie!

My guess is that this is a silly question from someone who is bored but, just in case it's serious and you don't actually know what 'pie' means, I'll answer it.

For something to be a 'pie' it has to be made of pastry and have a filling so it really depends on what type of foods you like as to whether you will like pie. You can buy or make savoury pies and sweet pies.

If you don't know how to make pastry the internet will give you recipes or you can buy some frozen and roll it out with a rolling pin once it has thawed. Fill it with whatever you want, stewed apples, pears, blackberries etc. or with stewed beef and onion, minced beef and onions, steak and kidney. You think of something you like to eat and you can usually make it into a pie - except salad!! I don't think that would work somehow.

Ingredients

* 2 (8 inch) pie shells, baked
* 2 1/2 quarts fresh strawberries
* 1 cup white sugar
* 2 tablespoons cornstarch
* 1 cup boiling water
* 1 (3 ounce) package strawberry flavored gelatin

Directions

1. In a saucepan, mix together the sugar and corn starch; make sure to blend corn starch in completely. Add boiling water, and cook over medium heat until mixture thickens. Remove from heat. Add gelatin mix, and stir until smooth. Let mixture cool to room temperature.
2. Place strawberries in baked pie shells; position berries with points facing up. Pour cooled gel mixture over strawberries.
3. Refrigerate until set. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
