is pastel de tres leches mexican?!
i need to make a mexican dessert and my own favorite cake is tres leches, but im not sure if the cake has a origan in mexico, or just in costa rica

It is made all over Latin America. Most any dessert you find in a Mexican cookbook you can find in other Latin American cookbooks too. Personally, I think that Tres Leches cake is a great choice. It is my favorite as well.
