What is the difference between Mexican tacos and American tacos?!

Question: What is the difference between Mexican tacos and American tacos?
Answers:

There is only Mexican tacos, there are just different adaptations of it. Mexican tacos are supposed to have authentic flavors and taste and made like the make them in Mexico, and usually when you buy Mexican food in America it is unauthentic and doesn't taste good unless the place you get your Mexican food from is for one made by people who know how to cook it and are actually Mexican, and two the place or restuarant isn't a big chain.

I have a Mexican-American mother and often have authentic Mexican food.

the average Mexican taco is a soft flour or corn tortilla with steak or chicken as the filling and either salsa or sour cream on the top of the meat.

the average American taco has a hard shell with ground beef, lettuce and shredded cheddar as the filling.

Mexican tacos are usually spicier too.

And in my opinion Mexican tacos are better.

Mexican tacos use a soft totrilla used of those hard shells and alot spicy thanks to salsa. But it still uses guccamole and chiili con carne! there are also regional variations of tacos in Mexico too!

Relative living in mexico made one for me

I have asked this exact question to so many Mexicans and they can never explain they just say "It's just different" so I don't think there is a difference.
