Hi,

I both tried an original Banh Chung when I was in Vietnam some months ago and then I cooked it myself for some friends back home a couple of times.
I have been experimenting with different types of rice and I can tell that glutinous rice powder works perfectly cause it helps you achieve the stickiness of the original recipe. About the rice... normal one works fine but just try to get a long-grain one in order to make it easier to take bytes.

Also I found and used a wonderful recipe for it in case you are looking for one: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/v…

Bon Appetit!
