Dumpling Cooking Question?!

Question: Dumpling Cooking Question?
I am making chinese shrimp dumplings with raw shrimp and a raw egg... if I cook them in a pan.. first in oil for a minute and then pouring in water for 5-6 minutes and cooking uncovered until the liquid is gone will it cook the egg and the shrimp or do I have to boil them?

Answers:

When you pour boiling and cook for 5 to 6 minutes, that should be enough time to cook the shrimp.
You can tell if it's cooked if the shimp in the middle of the dumpling is cooked.

If it's not cooked, after you pour the water in, I would cover for about 3 minutes and finish off by cooking uncovered.
