Is ravioli considered posh?!

Question: Is ravioli considered posh?
Answers:

To me, it's peasant food - every culture has a "ravioli" whether it's steamed dumplings, pirogi, blintzes etc.
Now, peasant doesn't mean it's mundane because lobster ravioli with truffle butter is certainly posh.

Traditionally Italian food is simple, fresh ingredients, handmade and relatively low cost so almost everyone can afford.
Ravioli also wasn't made to be a high class or posh type of food, it is just a a type of filled pasta which can be a daily affordable dish at home.

There are posh and simple versions of ravioli. Ravioli merely refers to stuffed pasta. The sauce, filling, presentation and plating contribute to changing this simple concept to a higher cuisine.

Maybe if it's got truffles in it, or another very pricey ingredient, but it's really just a dumpling.
