You can get a box mix for pao de queijo at Fiesta in the Columbian food isle. Its a typical brazilian dish.
You could also do blackbeans, I get 2 cans of bushes blackbeans, and cook it with bacon, ham, and sausage. If you want, after it is done you can blend it all together in a blender. It will make a smooth texture that me and my husband like to drink to settle our stomaches after a night of drinking too much. Its called caldron of beans.. or something to that nature in Portugese.

Some sweets that are really easy to make are brigadero...

take a large wooden spoonful of butter (1/2 a stick?) in a pot, pour one can of sweetened condensed milk over it, and 2 big tablespoons full of chocolate mix (nesquick, hersheys) and stir it together until it boils for about 4 mins. Be careful to not let it burn.
Pour it on a plate, and let it cool. You can put a lot of butter on your hands and roll the stuff into balls (the butter is so it does not stick to your hands) and roll it in sprinkles if you want. put in mini cupcake papers, and serve whenever. It should taste like a soft, chocolaty caramel.

Went to Brazil with my Brazilian Husband... and I like to cook a lot of brazilian foods, but unless you find a brazilian bakery (I have only seen one and it was in Florida) you will not really be able to buy them.
