if refrigerated, up to five days!

It should be OK for a few hours. When you have left over rice, keep it in the freezer, wrapped with plastic wrap or in an airtight container. It is great to use later on when you want to make fried rice.

If it's in the cooker and warm, It should last for the whole day. But if you leave it out in room temp. make sure it's covered and it should last almost the whole day, and if you do refrigerate it, make sure it is also covered but you must reheat it well because when rice gets cold, it turns really hard.

My brown rice sat in the cooker for an hour before we ate it. It was still delicious! I imagine it could have sat for another hour just fine. I personally wouldn't go past that.

I just finished eating said rice. :)

3 hours, maybe 4 ... just as long as the machine has turned off and you don't open the lid.

A couple of hours.
