Is lamb a common meat to eat in the US?!

Question: Is lamb a common meat to eat in the US?
Is lamb as common to eat here as other meats such as pork, steak, chicken, and fish? I know these are popular, but I don't hear much about people eating lamb. My mom is always fixing me lamb and I think that it is disgusting tasting and tough and has an odd flavor. It is her favorite food, unfortunately, and I have to eat it.

Sometimes people will ask me what I had to eat last night, and I'll say "lamb" and some people will look disgusted or shocked. I mean, I'm so used to having it that I"m not sure if it's common or not. Would you say that lamb is a common meat to eat here or would you even consider it disgusting?

Answers:

Lamb is not that common, but it's not unheard of either. When we explore Mediterranean or Greek cuisines we often find lamb, such as in gyros or moussaka..

It does have its own flavor, maybe you should find your mom some different recipes to make for you that you will enjoy more.

No, eating lamb isn't common here in the US. I would NOT consider it disgusting. We eat chicken, cows, and fish, like you stated. I would actually LIKE to try some lamb. I've heard that it's good.

depends on flavor and what people like. a lot of people like different things, i like lamb.
