Middle Eastern Grocery Stores?!

Question: Middle Eastern Grocery Stores?
So I just moved to Chicago (The Loop) about a month ago. Before I moved I became completely obsessed with Egyptian Style Fava beans that are used to make FOUL.

Is there a Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern Grocery store in the loop or near it? I'm restricted to public transit and would prefer walking, however I'm willing to travel as far as needed to get these.

Can I recommend the very best fava beans ever? :-) They are the Aleppo Recipe fava beans from al-Wadi al-Akhdar brand, and they are SO GOOD. Pour the ingredients of the can in a pot and heat them, Do not stir, mash, add spices or anything. Remove from heat, then mash, and add 3 cloves crushed fresh garlic, cumin, fresh lemon juice, and pout good quality extra-virgin olive oil on top. You will love it. This brand, and the Aleppo recipe, is the best fool mudammes you will ever eat.

well if you cant find them.. maybe you can suggest to the store manager to bring any brand of fava beans... Most stores want to cator to the publics likes.. so they probably would...

OH and a note:... Although I live in SaudiArabia.. and we have full access to fava beans.. it doesnt necessarily have to say "egyptian style" on the label.. fava beans are just fava beans...

I take a regular can of just cooked fava beans (no special spices, just beans and water like any old bean, kidney, pinto, etc)...

and I take a small sauce pan,, chop up 1/4 cup of onion, 1 large clove garlic.. and saute in a tiny amount of olive oil.... then I drain the fava beans, (saving the liquid) and pour the can of beans into the onion mixture.. heat through.. then I add 1 heaping tablespoon of tahini paste (sesame seed paste, similar to runny peanut butter), I add the juice of 1 lemon, and 1 tablespoon of cumin powder..
salt and black pepper.... then I mash with a potato masher over the stove gently till it makes a mushy paste while stove is on med/low heat.. if this mix is too dry, I add in little at time of the canned liquid from before till the consistancy is like "bean dip" thick.... then remove.. taste and adjust seasoning.. (also optional, if you want,, spread this all pretty like in a flat bowl and drizzle with more olive oil on top)

I eat this with veggie dippers (carrot sticks, cucumber etc) or with tortilla chips.. or homemade pitta chips that I broke up and baked in the oven a few minutes till browned...

this is how we eat it here in SaudiArabia...
