Chipotle are smoked jalepeno peppers. Their taste and texture are completely different than either a fresh jalepeno or a pickled one. Very delicious. I don't know where you live, but any large grocery with a Mexican food section should have them available. Either in a can or in a small jar. Chipotle seasoning also exists in powder form, but that's a whole different thing! Good luck!

Chipotles are smoked and dried sun-rippened jalape?os. When they're dry, but not smoked, they're called moritas. Look for a mexican supermarket. The dry peppers will be a lot hotter than the canned ones, which usually come in a sweet tomato sauce called adobo.

Chipotle is a hot and spicy pepper that is used in a variety of different ways. It can be found in your local grocery store in the ethnic section or with canned peppers.
