How do I get my Vegemite to spread thinly on toast/sandwiches?!

Question: How do I get my Vegemite to spread thinly on toast/sandwiches?

lol Well, I've compeltely fallen in love with the stuff... but not enough so that I want it spread like Peanute Butter! lol I was just decking it out of a jar I'd just opened and found that I couldn't get it on my toast in a thin manner... how do I do that exactly? xD

I have found that you should let it cool a little first so the toast will not absorb the butter and then dab the toast with the Vegemite and smear. The vegemite people suggest you make a paste of sorts with the two.

It is not like peanut butter that you would spread straight onto the toast.

i've never ever seen what Vegemite looks like let alone tried it.

smear a bit on a knife and get another knife and mush it up so its really pastey and fine - then spread it onto the piece of bread/toast ?

Lol I don't think there is any special way. Just put a smaller amount on your knife and then add more if need be.

I love it spread thick but that's just me.

Don't keep it in the fridge. If it is warm it will be easier to spread. :) That's how I do mine anyway!
