I'd say chocolate and rice are the most popular food because many people are now avoiding McDonalds due to the food being very unhealthy and making people around the world obese. McDonald's lost me as a customer when I watched the movie "Super Size Me" with Morgan Spurlock. McDonald's is disgusting and should be terminated.

Bread. IIRC, every culture has some form of bread. In many cultures, bread also has symbolic imporance, often associated with life itself. Many rich and important rituals surround both the making and the eating of bread.

I would say rice is the most eaten food in the world, Chinese food is the most popular food in the world and my personal favourite is sushi.

I have reached almost 70 and have been in a McDonald's once. I thought it was revolting. My favourite food is a roast with lots of fresh veg and gravy.
