Due to foreign influence (not least the Norman Invasion) most of British cuisine is originally French (eg Yorkshire Puddings) - the best is simple high quality meat and vegetables - all cooked separately and served together.
Traditional dishes inc.: Fish and Chips, Beef Stew and Dumplings, Shepherd's Pie, Yorkshire Pudding, Apple Crumble, Bakewell Tart
However with the increase of immigration many foreign dishes are now consumed at lunch and dinner such as: Lasagne, Pizza, Curries - Korma was voted Britain's favourite dish
Favourite drinks are probably beer and spirits especially vodka
