Question: What sauce is put on Chicken Chinese style at the take aways?
I just want to know the sauce they put on the chicken and beansprouts, its brown.

Can you advise the name of the dish you are talking about? Thinking of chicken with bean sprouts, my guess is soy sauce with sesame oil.

But it could also be black bean sauce / black pepper sauce / mushroom soy sauce / oyster sauce / Kung Pao sauce which all can have similar color.



All chinese cooks have different sauces, but the most common ones are soy sauce. sesame oil. Theres also hoisin sauce and mala sauce, which when combined with other spice make up individual tastes.

Could be beef oxo cube mixed with oyster sauce, salt, sugar , white pepper, dark soy sauce. Sometimes with garic added to it.
