Intensively farmed food..

In the long run organically farmed food is cheaper as there are few hidden costs like environmental degradation from the use of synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides as well as soil erosion, water pollution and lots of petroleum use.

If Conventional (what i assume you mean by intensive) agriculture were not so heavily subsidized by our tax dollars the cost at the store would be 3x to 10x higher than it is now and you would see organic foods become cheaper (even though they would not go down in price).

Organic food is usually more expensive.
