Question: What if I eat chicken and rice for every meal?
I have been on a chicken and rice kick lately. I'm a college kid and uncle bens microwave rice packets are easy to cook with two small chicken tenderloins. Fills me up and it's cheap. But I'm wondering if its healthy to eat just that, some of which has other vegetables in the rice. I'm trying to lose weight, or at least stay where I'm at and not gain any so would eating primarily this for the majority of my meals be okay?

Oh Lord - chicken and rice is so good. Probably not a good idea for every meal however. But if it is, at least make it brown rice and chicken.

It's pretty healthy - as long as you don't concentrate too much on the rice. People who are carbohydrate addicts (like myself) will eat chicken and rice - but what we eat mostly is RICE - 20 times more than we need.

So anyway - I do the Atkins diet now - and you can have all the chicken you want - and some vegetables - but you don't get anymore rice.... sad to say. But when you ate too much rice for too long, you get big and fat and ugly.

um you sound like a regular black/latino person lol. like myself i do eat a lot of chicken and rice. just make sure your main part of the meal isn't the chicken. You need to add a heap of veggies to that as rice is full of sugars. chicken is that of protein and you need to balance out your meal.



If it includes a lot of what your diet needs, then it could help. But you cannot just that... the vegetables are good for you, and so is the chicken. Rice is alright for you, just be careful with your proportions. You need to include some wheat, fruit, and diary in there... Eating the same thing everyday all day, isn't good for you no matter what it is. Your body needs other nutritions.



Chicken and rice is good for you, but the Uncle Bens one has a ton of sodium which isnt good. Have plain steamed rice!



From what I hear... eventually you will begin to 'cluck' and your eyse will 'slant'!
