My phulka roti does not puff up ?!


Question: My phulka roti does not puff up ?
I use Chapati Flour, warm water, and ghee/oil in the dough,I cook it partially on the tava then on open flame to puff it up.It tries to puff up but only partially, What am I doing wrong ?

do not use oil and try to make flour by kneading it for minimum 5 minutes

While kneading the dough you need to use a little oil. Don't make the dough too soft or too hard, it needs to be just right. Leave the dough aside for 15-20 minutes. Leave it covered. After that you can make the chappatis. More importantly you need the roll the dough properly and evenly while making the chappati, don't put too much pressure ( too much pressure while rolling out the chappati doesn't let it puff )
