Question: I bought some dried Japanese/Chinese mushrooms but their flavour is too strong. How should you use them?
I soak them, but they're too strong to use. Even just a tiny bit. I'm not sure what type they are as the writing isn't in English and was wondering if anyone would have a clue as to what they might be and the proper way to use them.

Thank in advance!

Answers:

please soak these mushrooms 4 at least 12 hours and make sure that you rinse them at least 4 maybe 5 times before you cook them shallow fry in butter for 2 to 3 mins and enjoy they r fab

Most likely they are Shitake mushrooms. Soak them till tender then use the soaking liquid as a a broth or flavor adder. They can be used in stir fry, or any other dish that you can think of to add mushrooms to Since you find them too strong use them sparingly I love the flavor and use a lot of them in my cooking

life and a Japanese mom

they are good in soups, stews and casseroles

they reconstitute in the moisture, and their flavor diffuses throughout the food.

Well its always easier if you stick the shrooms in a flapjack.

smoke them its good for you
