Why do people like hot food that burns their mouth?!

Question: Why do people like hot food that burns their mouth?
As a kid, I hated when my parents served Mexican food. I couldn't understand why an entire culture would intentionally burn themselves with jalapenos and hot sauce.

15 years later, I still don't like Mexican food. Why? Because it's not hot enough. I've moved on to Thai and Cajun food and I eat wasabi strait out of the tube. I love spicy food so much, but my childhood question still remains unanswered: Why do I intentionally burn my mouth and enjoy it?

I love spicy food. The more you eat the more tolerant you are of the heat so you have to increase it. I don't like when it's burning my mouth because I think it ruins your palate and then you don't enjoy the other flavors in the meal.

I don't like Mexican food either! :)

A little spice is nice .Too much has a price. Some times the stomach gives you problems and sometimes it will be the kidneys.Besides to much heat ruins the taste of the food.So slow down.

I don't like spicy stuff unless it's a food that taste good so I just deal with it otherwise I hate it

Try shoving Jalape?os up your culo!!
