Whats American Food? Hot Dogs? Burgers? Mc Donalds? Pototoes?
Vs Chinese Food?
Fried Rice, Chow Mein, Lo Mai Gai
Yum Cha DIM SUMS - Har Gao, Xiu mai, fong Chowi,
WHAT?
Obviously American food is more fattening.
Deep fried Chinese food are quite fattening for example, Sweet and Sour pork, eating it with sauce and steamed rice, the total calories consumed for 1 portion may be over 1200 calories.
A dish of stir fried e-fu noodle with mushroom contains around 1100 calories.
Therefore, it is hard to compare which fast food is more fattening unless you compare them item by item and how big the portion of intaking. American portion sizes are bigger than what we have here in Hong Kong, I believe an American portion size of ceasar salad contains more calories then 1 portion of Chinese stir fried assorted vegetables.
Judging from the oil floating in the bottom of my Hunan Chicken take out container, Chinese food but
it all depends on what you order at either place.
it would be fun to have a side by side comparison with menu options from a couple of American and a couple of Chinese places.
Interesting question.
well luv it depends on where you go and what you order. I mean I guess it would be safe to assume that american food is more fattening, but though chinese food may taste light, it's loaded to the brink with saturated fat and sodium levels that could bloat a whale.
All the best

American hands down!
In Chinese you at least have some rice and not all the greasy potato or cheaps. Anyway, if you're looking to get some weight down, eat food with less fat and do some sports.
AMERICAN! Jeez they deep fry everything. atleast Chinese food has like almost all categories of the food pyramid.
Probably American, but then again I wouldn't really know since both are pretty bad for you... xP
American fat foods are more fattening. Well, by average anyways

Chinese food still can contain some MSG, so I'd stick w/ the Good 'Ole American fat :)
