What is the small italian bread that I am getting Pancetta confused with?!

Question: What is the small italian bread that I am getting Pancetta confused with?
I always thought pancetta was small bits of crust bread stuff served as an accompaniment, etc. I realise its cubes of meat, but I'm not the only one who has had this query....

So what is the bread called? HELP

Pancetta is italian bacon. That's what you're getting it confused with.

You are getting it confused with BRUSCHETTA.

If you are confusing it with pancetta you might mean panettone, a sweet bread.
Otherwise, maybe you mean crostini since you said it's served with something. Foccacia is often served with olive oil.

Pancetta is a type of bacon

The only thing I can think of that might be cubes of bread used as an accompaniment is "crouton" which can be made from any kind of bread

Focaccia or Bruscetta.

panettone is an italian bread
could that be it?

Could it be pannini which is a type of bread roll.
