Question: I opened a coconut, and it doesn't smell liek coconut. I tasted the juice and it taste bad.?
The entire coconut doesn't have the taste or smell of coconut. Also when i look at the bottom of the meat, it had some dark brown on it and some very very light brown patches... I don't know is it bad?

Obviously you nit wit! OR eat it and find out.

Lived on adeserted island for 7 weeks. Survived on coconuts.

When you had a warning about the coconut from the smell,it would have been wise to discard it right away.Don't think tasting the coconut water was a good idea. The part of the coconut just adjacent to the shell is always a thin layer of brown,it is edible yet is often scraped or peeled away as it tends to discolour any dish that is being cooked using the coconut meat.

Live in India & have several yielding coconut palms

Toss it out or take it back to the grocer-they will probably give you a free one in it's place. They do not want people to think they sell bad produce.

It's probablly gettin rotten
