The end of Japanese chopsticks (usually made of wood) for picking up food are tapered to a pointed end and are short to medium length sticks.
Korean chopsticks are medium-length stainless-steel (Traditionally, they were made of brass or silver.) tapered rods with a flat rectangular cross section. Many Korean metal chopsticks are ornately decorated at the grip.
Both Japanese or Korean chopsticks can have grip made now so I think the one you saw are just lacquered chopsticks, not a special type.
Japanese and Korean families have sets of chopsticks, most like the lacquered ones as they are easier to clean and more decorative, some Korean families and individual use the metal ones with a long handled spoon, like ones use for ice cream sundaes in the US, even when I go to Chinese restaurants I use the spoon for my rice when I eat it, when I worked in Japan you could buy fancy chopsticks, some cost $10 a pair, for those program you saw this is common in both country's, but most have every day and special occasion one like we have for our better event dinners, a good set of dishes and the everyday one, same with the cutlery.
There are many different types of Chopsticks. Metal chopsticks are used in Korea and are quite good as they are durable, easy to use and clean. Japanese and Chinese will use either wooden or plastic chopsticks. My family in Japan prefer the wooden type which are short to medium length and are lacquered and last a very long time.

Chopsticks are just chopsticks. Just like spoons are mostly still called a spoon no matter what design or pattern it has.
The one you saw in the drama is probably restaurant/home chopsticks that are re-usable.
e* you could buy those chopsticks at any convenience store in Korea :P
you can purchase all types of chopsticks online:
