Indian:
early morning in Sikkim, North Eastern India. The middle of winter.
Perched on the side of a mountain, it was 6 AM and I was starving. I bolted into a tiny chai stall where steam was coming out of the doorway and sat down at a tiny wooden table.
A plate of fresh rolled roti and chana dal masala was put in front of me and I have to tell you I practically swallowed it in one gulp and it was SO GOOD. Rich thick buttery flakey roti, steaming hot and glistening with oil, the chickpeas were spiced and frangrant and just tender cooked, not too soft, with a perfect gravy.
I order second helpings and it came immediately, I will never forget that morning.
After I was done, two small cups of chai, spiced and freshly brewed. It nearly made me cry.

That was the Meal in a Restaurant.

Meal I can make: courgette and rocket soup with nori. A fresh made zucchini soup, garlic, and chopped aragula and crumbled sheets of nori. YOu feel better eating it.

Sandwich: Marmite and lettuce on grainy wholewheat fresh bread.

Drink : Tea with milk and sugar.

1. enchiladas
2. favorite meal of all time but my mom can only make it. Carne con arroz y habichuelas (meat, rice, beans)
3. sandwhich: polish rye, cheveca (looks like salami but with white spots on it and is smaller, havarti w/ dill cheese and mayo
4. horchata (cinammon rice drink)

I'm half polish and half puerto rican lol thats why I have these food choices

Two things I can never forget:

1. The traditional caucasian Sipsi soup that my grandma makes, containing flour, chicken broth, garlic, chestnuts, and some other stuff. Looks and has a texture close to beef gravy, but tastes insanely great! Goes well with oven-baked chicken.

2. The creamy lentil dish I used to have at my favorite Indian restaurant. I can't remember the name at all, but it was just super! Goes well with some rice and beef curry.
