Can you use white rice vinegar as a substitute for white vinegar?!

Question: Can you use white rice vinegar as a substitute for white vinegar?
Answers:

You can, but they are both very different. Regular vinegar is much stronger and some rice vinegars add additional flavoring. All in all, it's vinegar and you will get a different result, but not in a bad way. If a recipe calls for rice vinegar, then regular vinegar cannot be substituted as it will alter the dishes taste.

Personally, I love rice vinegar in a salad dressing. It can be used in addition to a little fresh lemon juice or another stronger vinegar along with the olive oil. Since I don't like a strong vinegar taste, I am a big fan of rice vinegar.

My source is my kitchen cupboard which would fill a grocery store's spice, vinegar and oil section. Discovered this by accident when making a salad.

Rice vinegar has a much stronger smell I believe.
