Question: What is the difference between a vanilla nut and a vanilla bean?

Tia should get the points with the answer she gave you, the only thing I know is a vanilla bean is long, about 6 inches or so, skinny, thin, and black. To use one you have to slice it open and gently scrap the "seeds" out with a knife or spoon. Or just slice it open and add it to a container of sugar, or spirits or the like to make vanilla flavored product, it has to set for a while of course. I regret to say I have never heard of a vanilla nut, if you will excuse me I am off to look it up!
