Are there any suggestions for an italian main course?!

Question: Are there any suggestions for an italian main course?
Hi,
I'm putting together an italian 4 course dinner party with my girlfriend next Sunday for up to 13 people. So far we've got the following courses:
1st. Minestrone with Olive Bread rolls
2nd. (Some kind of seafood) Ravioli
3rd. Unsure
4th. Tiramasu

I'm currently stuck for ideas for the 3rd main meat course. Although I'm an ambitious cook I want something that I'm not going to get wrong that is either fairly easy to do or can be prepped in advanced. I was thinking maybe veal or something slightly unusual but again I'm completely open to suggestions. The other thing I was thinking is that if I do individual items (like steaks for example) there is more potential to mess up. On another note as well, I'm kind of known among many of the guests as the resident baker so if anyone can think of something baked that could add another interesting element to it!

Thank you very much in advanced and I look forward to your suggestions!

Jon

So far for what I've eaten in Italian restaurants and with Italian families, they do not serve 2 sets of 1st course.

Either Minestrone which usually they will put pastina (little pasta) in it and/or eat with bread / any kind of pasta (Ravioli / Pasta alla Carbonara / Pasta alla Tarantina) / rice dish / baked pasta / lasagna.

Follow by a meat dish like baked fish / roast beef / grilled chicken or turkey, serving together with vegetables salad / boiled vegetables (added some extra virgin olive oil, salt and sweet vinegar) / grilled vegetables (eggplants / zucchini) / baked potatoes.

End with fruits salad and desserts.

You can add a antipasti (before the meal) if you want to make it 4 course which can be fresh oysters / smoked salmon / olives / cheese / Salumi / ham and etc.

You might want to try : Saltimbocca (jump in the mouth) Very popular dish in Italy. Excellent if made properly. Could be with chicken or veal (beef) Many recipes on the net.

Try chicken parmigiana, lasagna, chicken scallopini or chicken marsalsa. YUM!!!!
