Rice will only make you sick if it wasn't cooled and stored properly, and allowed bacteria to grow dut to the temperature and moisture content. If it was just plain rice, you should have very little to worry about. A fried rice with protein would be more worrisome.

There are two basic rules for almost any leftovers: store cold and fully reheat before eating. Storing it cold inhibits bacteria growth, and fully reheating kills anything that did grow.

Hopefully you did at least one of these. Even if not, day old rice is unlikely to have any serious poison risk. Contact a doctor if you get a fever or serious nausea or diarrhea .

You'll find out soon...if you aren't sick in 6 hrs, then all that you heard is simply paranoid talk of the residents of rich countries from people who have way too much time & too little self esteem, or are in the business of making money by scaring the people.

Not true, eating reheated rice O.K., but if you are unsure, contact a hospital. If this is true, contact poison control immediately.

If you feel fine within 24 hours then you are in the clear. But leftover rice shouldn't cause any problem since I always eat leftover rice myself.

No it can't overnight.
I don't know what ghetto wikicrapia your friend gets his info from, but he's wrong.

Like if the rice was 3 weeks old and fuzzy, then yes.

Do nothing unless you suspect he poisoned it. Oh and i saw gullible written on your forehead

It wasn't in the fridge overnite, or was it?
