In the 1960s dinner in our house was pretty much the same as it is today. Probably more beef and potatoes and less vegetables. Also, when the food was put down on the table, everyone would sit down and eat. Not like today's never ending jumping around.

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and peas (not green beans) at least not at my house. But the three most important items were 1) Dad 2) Mom 3) Kids sitting at dinner table actually talking. Not texting, on cell or watching TV
