Medieval Chinese restaurants?!? easy 10 points! :)?!
1. Who invented/started Chinese restaurants?
2. Why is it historically significant?
I can't seem to find this information. All the links mostly tell me about the food they served and I want to know about the history on the actual restaurants.
Thank You In Advance :) I really appreciate it

The first Chinese restaurants were in China (!). The earliest records are from the 11th century. Since it's so ancient, there are no good records to indicate exactly where the very first restaurant was. Here's a little bit of info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restaurant
Gangis Khan.
Because in the days of the Huns, when nomads wandered all over china and the Silk Road, they needed restsstops along the way, so restaurants sprung up to feed the great and mighty Khan and his ilk.
