cause asian food is 'american-ified' when sold in chinese resturants and frozen boxes. What you eat there, isnt true oriental food unless you go to Asia.
In most resturants, they use extra oil to cook the food.
The most popular Americanized Chinese food is mostly deep fried, including orange chicken, general chicken, sweet and sour pork, egg rolls which are all loaded with fat and sugar. On top of that most customers eat their meals with a big cup of soda, a 32 oz cup contains 24 sugar cubes or 364 calories. Most Chinese people basically eat steamed rice with stir fry dishes that are much less greasy and sweet, their favorite beverage is tea which has no calories. Chinese people don't like cheese which is found in many types of western food, and cheese is very fattening. Therefore an average American is consuming almost double the amount of calories than a Chinese person on a daily basis. If people in the US change their eating habits, they can slim down too.
The every day Asian diet depending on where one lives, can be junk food laden just as bad as in the US or fully of very healthy vegetables, little or no meat and rice or noodles.
The meals in restaurants aren't typical everyday meals and consist of a lot of fats, sugar, salt and oil.
Not all Asians are thin. Sometimes it's diet, other times it's genes.
True Oriental food is high in vegetables, low in meat protein, served with rice.
The Americanized version copies our unhealthy dietary patterns.
It's higher in meat & fat content, fried noodles, lower in vegetables.
Because it's not made the same over in it's original country. Several things are modified in order to appeal to Americans. Smaller portions are also eaten in countries outside of the U.S.
they eat healthy food, most meals contain more veg than anything else. I'm traveling Saigon and I haven't seen one mcdonalds.
Who uses the word "oriental" anymore?
additives such as MSG!
because they eat more meals through out there day but in smaller portions
and genes can be another factor
