so the ingredients (one or some or all of them) is literally modified in terms of their genetic characteristics. like you know the rumors of the KFC chicken? (link below) i dont know if it's the truth or not, but thats' on perfect example of GMO (genetically modified organism). they aren't just "created" for food, but for many more products, like clothes. they "play" with the DNA structure of the organism (they know which part of animals' chromosomes is responsible for what function of the organism itself) and remove things they think unnecessary, just like the KFC chicken rumor. hope this help. :D
