Should I cook tandoori chicken in the oven or overhead grill?!

Question: Should I cook tandoori chicken in the oven or overhead grill?
I'm cooking tandoori chicken for the first time tonight. From looking on the net, it's best to cook it on a barbeque, or a grill/griddle pan. It's raining outside, so I don't want to use the BBQ, and the only grill I have is the one that is part of my oven, you know where you slide out the tray, put the food on, and the griller element is above the food. Should I use this overhead grill to cook the tandoori chicken, or the oven?

you can do both. I would recommend using the overhead grill, because its close to what authentic tandoori would taste like. Or you can bake the chicken for about 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees, then broil for about 8 minutes

Use a traditional Indian brick, charcoal fueled oven !!!
