Answers:

Shinsengumi in Torrance/Gardena used to be great but not anymore. After they changed their noodles, quite a few old, royal customers stopped going there. But their Fontana location (on Brookhurst) is still very good. Do expect long lines especially on weekends. Hakata ramen is the most popular item there. You could add extra noodle for $1.00 if you want more.

Santouka Ramen in Torrance is good too. Personally, I prefer their LA location a little better. Shio ramen and seafood ramen are both worth trying there.

Both ramen places mentioned above use pork and pork bones imported from Japan. Pork in North America got slightly different taste/aroma and many serious ramen places do not use North American pork.

You wont find that in a chain restaurant. Try calling your local restaurants and asking them
