You'll just have to try it. Some people like it, some don't - the same with everything! The restaurants I have been to number the heat in a dish from 1 - 10. So be aware of how hot you want something. Tell the restaurant it is your first time to try Thai food and what would they suggest. They may even make you a 'sampler' of several things to win you over!

I love Thai cuisine, if you like hot and spicy food, then absolutely you should it. For the first time, you can try to order some dishes which are mild in flavours, such as PhatThai (Stir fried rice noodle with shrimps or chicken, bean sprouts, chives, onion with fish sauce, lime juice and sugar), deep fried spring rolls served with hot and sour sauce, deep fried chicken wrapped with pandan leaves, or Green curry Chicken. As for the dessert, mango with sticky rice served with coconut cream is a must try!

Yes. Thai food is one of the most famously known international food and accepted because of its flavors.

If this was your first time ordering Thai, you may want to stay away from dishes that are too hot (of course, unless you love spicy food!) and ask the restaurant to make it 'mild' or 'not spicy'. And don't order anything that has young bamboo shoots -- some people, including myself, do not like the smell of them cooked.

Some dishes that are recommended are:

- pad thai (fried noodle with bean sprouts, sweet soy sauce, some meat, and scrambled eggs).
- Thai fried rice
- Green or red curry with rice
- Any stir-fry meat, seafood, or veggies combo dish
- This is the awesome dessert: mango & sweet sticky rice with sweet coconut milk gravy. Yummy!

Hope this helps! Bon apetit!!

i don't really like it. I've been to Thailand five times, it's much better there, but still there's this overpowering taste of lemongrass I can't get into.
If you're there, they do fish and chicken and tofu kebabs like nothing else, they're fantastic, and some really good street coffee- iced in a carrying bag with condensed milk.
Take out from a Thai place in USA- go for the green chicken, fried rice, tom yam soup, maybe some tom pra- a fish spicey soup.
Gai is chicken and pra is fish, doufu is tofu.

in my opinion the taste of the food depends on the quality of the restaurant some thai restaurants were nasty some had good locations, fine quality decoration, good service, and clean silverware, plates, and glasses and the food was Absolutely delicious

Well, it really depends on your taste. I personally LOVE Thai food! Especially the spicy stuff. At my school. people say good things about Thai food a lot. You should keep in mind where you get it from, though, Some places can't cook food for shizz. Oh and of you don't try it, you'll never know. Hope I somewhat helped you. :)

Thai food is like any other. You will love some of it and hate some. Also, Thailand is quite a large country and the food differs by region. In general it is all good.

oh yes thai food is excellent!! if you want some recomendations, you should order pad thai, yellow curry, and chicken fried rice, for starters :)
