True country ham is usually salt cured and smoked so it's not "raw" in the sense that you are using.
"The risk of eating Raw ham are: none.. see unless you are at the place that is killing the pig you are not exposed to raw ham? Ham is cured and smoked. so the ham you get for cold meat sandwiches ( though cooked and served in different ways) is no different from the ham you get to cook at easter.
Raw bacon and olther pork prodjects are a different story bacon is only cured not smoked ( when it is smoked fully its becomes jerky) eating them can cause worms."
