Would this vegetable taste good with my dish?!

Question: Would this vegetable taste good with my dish?
I'm making grilled curried quail (Marinated with plain yogurt, curry, onion, ginger, salt, and garlic), with cheese and spinach curry orzo pasta tomorrow (ricotta cheese, tomato, spinach, onion, ginger, nutmeg, turmeric, etc) for my family.

I bought asparagus and I usually just fry it in a bit of butter and some garlic. I was thinking for tomorrow to fry it battered with breadcrumbs, romano cheese and salt and pepper.

I know its not exactly an indian side of vegetables, but would it go with it?

Answers:

Personally I wouldn't prepare the aspargus the way you've suggested because the meal sounds quite heavy already. If you'd like to use the asparagus (which I think if kept fresh would go nicely), a quick simple grill or flash fry with salt and pepper would be nice. Eggplant (aubergine) quite popularly used in curries - roasted would make a great side.

I think you are asking what the asparagus fixed the way you suggested would go with - Wow what a sentence! I wouldn't fry it but would roast it in the oven and would substitute olive oil for the butter. Alternately, I would do it in a grill pan again using little olive oil. Main meal could be a grilled chicken or fish. I think either would go well with asparagus. OR after you grill it, you could just put it over a nice simple pasta dish, maybe like olio y aglio.
